On the 25th of June, Equitable Tourism Options – EQUATIONS, with the support of ECPAT International, launched the new Code e-learnings, to support the travel and tourism industry in preventing the sexual exploitation of children. The new e-learnings are available in Hindi as well as nine other languages and have separate modules designed for specific roles within the travel and tourism industry.

The Code works with companies, governments, and NGOs to guide and support the private sector to protect children in travel and tourism around the world. Sexual offenders take advantage of the tourism sector to perpetrate their crimes. The tourism industry is not itself a cause of the sexual exploitation of children, but they have a key role to play in conjunction with other stakeholders to protect children.

Find out how to become a member of The Code here.
