American Airlines joins The Code to help protect children around the world

The Code is very pleased to announce that American Airlines has joined hundreds of other companies in the fight to protect children from sexual exploitation and trafficking.

Such a major airline is in a unique and privileged position to help stop the trafficking of children since victims are often trafficked via commercial air travel.

The signing of The Code comes during the National Slavery and Human Trafficking Awareness and Prevention Month.

“The work that ECPAT does is incredibly important,” said Robert Isom, President of American Airlines. “We have half a million customers a day and our flight attendants, our pilots, [and] our agents can be real guardians and lines of defence against human trafficking and child exploitation.”
