Luna Nueva, established in Asuncion in 1995, works to combat violence against woman and children. It is the only organisation in Paraguay that works specifically on problems related to the sexual and commercial exploitation of children. It carries out this work through the development and implementation of programs offered to exploited children and also to adult sex workers on education, health, self-esteem, human rights and the prevention of violence.
